Core Principles
The welfare of children and vulnerable individuals is paramount.
Everyone has a right to be protected, regardless of age, ability, race, religion, gender identity, or background.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility.
All allegations and concerns will be taken seriously and acted upon promptly.
What We Will Do
Ensure all volunteers working with young people are DBS-checked.
Provide basic safeguarding training to team members.
Appoint a designated Safeguarding Lead.
Follow appropriate procedures in the case of concern, suspicion, or disclosure.
Respect confidentiality and only share information on a need-to-know basis.
Create clear boundaries for communication, especially online.
