SHRED UNION™ Trip Advice

Real Rides, Real People

✦ Michael from Dover, UK

Le Collet d’Allevard gave us the kind of Christmas you remember forever. It was our first real snow trip as a family, and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The resort was calm and friendly — not too commercial, just right for young kids learning to love the mountains.

The free baby slope was a gift — the little ones got to practice safely while we cheered them on with snowflakes falling all around. Staff were warm and helpful, and the lift passes didn’t break the bank (a rare thing these days!). We joined a few fun family activities and were blown away by the fireworks display — simple but magical.

Big thanks to Allevard. The kids can’t stop talking about it. We’ll definitely be back.

This trip to Sölden was one for the books. Despite the low visibility, the snowfall the night before laid down an incredible base. I pushed myself harder than usual, especially on the rail section. It’s amazing what you can do when your board is dialed and your crew is hyped. My nose press finally felt clean and balanced. Shared some tricks with new friends I met on the gondola. Sölden is always worth it, even on a grey day.

We went to Chill Factore for the first time! At first, it was super scary being on real snow indoors. But after a few warm-up runs and lots of giggles, we started getting the hang of it. Theo landed a 180 for the first time ever, and I finally stayed upright for a full run. The instructors were really kind and patient. It felt amazing to be part of SHRED UNION and we’re already planning our next visit!

What started as a solo trip to the Cairngorms turned into an unforgettable weekend. I’d planned to just ride and reset, but fate had other ideas. I bumped into two SHRED UNION riders at the base lodge, and we instantly clicked. We ended up riding together for hours, filming clips, swapping stories, and cheering each other on. The snow was buttery, the vibe was unreal, and I left feeling so connected. That’s what this movement is all about.
